See us featured on page 59 of the National Schools PTA magazine where a typical school in Bristol raised over £1,300 before gift aid in just three hours - and that's after hire costs!  Please note that the article refers to obtaining PTA UK insurance - we automatically provide £5m public liability insurance for your event, and this, together with our risk assessment can be downloaded from our about us/contact us page.     School Activity Day package: A short presentation at morning assembly about the sport of rock climbing/abseiling, a bit of history, the demonstrate equipment, how to become more involved, health benefits etc. and talk about the day.  Then we’ll run climbing sessions in the morning and afternoon (timetable to suit) on the climbing wall – oh and the teachers also take part!!  A good number of participants is around 150 (5 classes) per day, although as always this is flexible to suit your needs. Our instructors have over 25 years experience in instructing Climbing & Abseiling to children and adults of all ages, and are particular specialists in youth age groups. Ideal for School Fetes - we really pull the numbers in.  There are two options - either run a sponsored event (as above), or striaght hire and you just charge participants to climb and you keep all the money (4 can climb at once, we suggest £3 a session to give them time to climb/attempt all 4 climbs over 5/6 minutes, allows 10/11 sessions per hour = c.£125 per hour + £25 gift aid).  Also suitable for Sports Curriculum, Open Days, School Camps etc. We also cater for special needs groups, which includes the supply and use of full body harnesses as and when required, providing many Hours of fun, games and challenges - ever tried blindfold climbing or with one arm or leg tied up?  We have 12 challenging routes and many records to try and beat. All sessions include a warm up and safety briefing, followed by the climbing session itself which can include/incorporate the learning of basic and advanced climbing skills, some team building exercises, games, coordination challenges - basically we can build a packaged around yours / the children's needs.  We would require a member of your staff accompany each group of children at all times, and there is no minimum or maximum age.                    National PTA Magazine Article: High Down Juniors Maesgwyn Special School St Johns School, Frome Why not run the event as a fundraiser where all participants get sponsorship from mum's & dad's, grandparents, uncles/aunties etc to climb the combined height of something - say Ben Nevis.  This would raise funds to cover the hire cost and also raise funds for your PTA, or an event/trip, or an external charity etc. Are you twinned with a School overseas?  (see our fundraising page for more details).
